Hello Larry. Thought I would write and share how much I have enjoyed your posts. This one about Yaroslavl especially caught my since I have been there a number of times playing music and visiting friends. I have been to a number of places in Russia – from Perm to Moscow, St. Petersburg to Rostov and in-between. Like all countries, the people are nice but the darn governments. i love the walk in Yaroslavl by the Volga with all the cathedrals. I have been there in the dead of winter with feet of snow and the hot of summer and the walk is still impressive.

Like you, i have been fortunate to see a lot of the world others only dream about or don’t even know. Angkor Wat is one that I need to make. Thailand and Turkey too but probably wait in Turkey for a while. You can check out my images if you like on Flickr or via my web site under Photo then to to travel.

All the best and safe travels.

    Mike

Mike, Good to hear from you. Angkor Wat is a must see and you can hit Thailand on the same trip. I would not be too worried about Turkey my friends tell me it is OK. I will be there at the end of Feb in Antalya and will be moving west along the coast in March looking for a place for a long stay…Probably Fethiye. Come see me.
